Oklahoma Fried Onion Smash Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of ground beef, 80/20
  • 1 lb Yellow Onion
  • Kraft American singles
  • Brioche Buns
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice onion with a mandarin slicer
  2. Get a cast iron pan ripping hot, like 450f
  3. With a 2.75oz scoop, place 2 scoops of beef into the pan
  4. Salt the beef
  5. Add about a golf ball size of thin onions to the top of the ball of beef
  6. SMASH, roll the beef thinly across the cast iron pan
  7. Flip when you see liquid start to pool on top, about 1-2 minutes
  8. Add cheese immediately
  9. Place one side of the bun on each patty
  10. Combine patties
  11. Enjoy hot, dripping and cheesy.
