Oklahoma Fried Onion Smash Burger
Ingredients
- 1 lb of ground beef, 80/20
- 1 lb Yellow Onion
- Kraft American singles
- Brioche Buns
- Salt
Instructions
- Thinly slice onion with a mandarin slicer
- Get a cast iron pan ripping hot, like 450f
- With a 2.75oz scoop, place 2 scoops of beef into the pan
- Salt the beef
- Add about a golf ball size of thin onions to the top of the ball of beef
- SMASH, roll the beef thinly across the cast iron pan
- Flip when you see liquid start to pool on top, about 1-2 minutes
- Add cheese immediately
- Place one side of the bun on each patty
- Combine patties
- Enjoy hot, dripping and cheesy.
